DON'T EXERCISE YOUR HAIR TO DEATH!

DHT & You...

Men lose hair for a lot of reasons; some of them are untreatable, like heredity, drug interactions and aging. But these causes of hair loss are fairly uncommon.

The reality is that most hair loss is the result of a hormone named Dihydrotestosterone, more commonly referred to as DHT. DHT is a hormone that is three times as powerful as testosterone, and is generally used by the body during physical development, from gestation to puberty. The supply of DHT created by the body is greatly reduced when the body stops growing.

DHT is produced in the skin, and enzymes in the body break it down for distribution throughout the body. The levels of DHT are known to be higher in the certain areas of the body, specifically those that grow hair. Women also have DHT in their bodies, but produce lower quantities. This is why they have less body hair than men.

Typically, hair grows about an inch every two months. When the body experiences moderate exercise, the enzymes that break DHT down into testosterone are sufficient to handle all of the DHT. But when a man exerts himself weight training and body building, more DHT may be produced than the body's enzymes can break down. When that DHT has nowhere else to go, it attaches itself to the hair follicles, creating a barrier around the hair which ultimately kills the follicle.

Head Strong is specifically formulated to remove the excess DHT buildup around the hair follicle, increasing your chances of maintaining strong and healthy hair. Using Head Strong after exercise will help you retain more healthy hair than by using any other standard hair care product.
